About Petra
Calm, patient, with heart.
My name is Petra. As a primary school teacher I bring plenty of experience, calm and empathy to my work with children. My love for horses has been with me since childhood.
At Pferdezeit mit Petra I guide children from the age of five into the world of horses in a mindful, appreciative and playful way. Every child is welcome to arrive, observe, try things out and grow at their own pace.

What children experience with me.
The focus is not on performance but on the whole experience with the horse. Four things almost every child takes home from here.
A mindful way with horses
Listening, feeling, respecting. Children get to know the horse as a sensitive companion, without pressure or expectations.
Balance, motor skills, body awareness
On horseback everything moves at once. Almost as a side effect, balance, coordination and body awareness grow stronger.
Confidence and concentration
Small successes, clear rituals and the honest feedback of the horse help children grow from within, each at their own pace.
Calm, joy and a bond with nature
The farm, the meadow, the scent of hay and forest. An afternoon outdoors, far away from screens and the everyday rush.

A session lasts 45 minutes. Alone or as a pair, I never guide more than two children at a time so there is enough time and calm for each of them.
